Go Goa !!!!!!!!!!!!

Goa..
had mixed feelings bout it.. dunno why.. but goa is a beautiful place.. a place u can fall in love wid..
I was always told that GOA is a perfect place to holiday .........and so i had a pre-concieved notion about goa :D as a party place !!!!!!
The time came when i was to visit the paradise of beaches goa ,waaaooowww!!!!!!
Hold it if u r thinkin i planned out for a holiday , i am here in goa for my internship ;).....actually !!!

Umm! now no one told me goa is GREEN in the rains.. i jus imagined goa like any other beachy place.. lotsa sand and palm and coconut trees.. but there was sooo much greenery.. evry inch of the soil was covered with grass.. it was a beautiful site..
Now after landin here in beach paradise i have two stories of my life one restricted to the normal workin weekdays which r pretty interestin too but another story sounds more promisin the story of my weekends, rite now lets talk of the most awaited WEEKENDS lol ,probably u too r interested in this half rite ;)
....but one thing remains common the BUS JOURNEY
Thursday was the day to get started ....... after walkin some 3 odd kms, n the mornin we rushed to the office (GSL) in a mini bus.. (i think its there version of public transport..) but wat i found weird and hillarious was.. the conductors.. alighting from the bus.. n calling to ppl to come ride to the Vasco market or to the airport!! LOL.. evry few mins the bus used to stop and the conductors used to start callin the ppl walkin on the road!! and the inflow never seemed to stop n outflow was close to nil .......... aaah crowded n yeah thr is some military rule too (to stand facing one side )hehehehe..so finally u reach ur destination in a perfect state ur shirt crushed n wet jus like u can imagine urself after wrkin some 8-10 hrs ,neways lemme go ahead
intro session :
GOA gorgeous land of Sun, Sand and Sea- Goa. The destination offers you the best in the world. The most breathtakingly beautiful beaches, the confluence of the East and the West let the holiday be the best time of your life. The balmy beaches of India are perfect escapade for the fun loving holiday seekers :))).
The first destination for me was calingute beach n the first thought which crossedd was yeah some1 has truly said
-The beaches of Goa are like the curves of a woman's body - warm, inviting, sensous.
we went to Calungute Beach on saturday.(my first weekend :D). much much better than beaches i have been too .. and we were pretty excited to see that a few junkie shops were open.. ! hooray.. we ran into the sea.. cos thankfully it wasnt rainin.. (not allowed to swim or play in the sea during the rains) And yeah now comes the funk part for the adventorous souls the water sports !!!!!!! They were on yo yo yo
I have always wanted to go fa a water scooter ride n it was time for dreams to come true , umm excited ,exulted ,full of furore n yeah a bit of fear ( yeah i was a bit scared b4 goin in ) i finally went 4 the ride zip zap zoom .....wow it was an amazin ,incomparable or God -level experience, added to the golden moments of my life :)
This was not the end it was fun singin songs "paaniyon pe cheetein udati hui ladki n spashin water on each other lol !!!!
now came the time to bid gudbye to the beach but wait wait wait one thing was left writin the name of ur loved 1 on the beach sand n let the water sway it off ,i dont know but it sounded kind of crazy or .... to me ....neways we did tat too , all ceremonies :P over and we took a bus to panji
we were bac in panji.. did a lil survey of the market place.. and there was a lot of hustle bustle in the fish n chicken market n veggie market!! lol.. After a tirin journey we took another bus n were back to campus finally .......grabbed smthin to eat n hit the beds
11 :30 am sunday, gud mornin
Sunday .. was rest n relaxation day..............
It was a b'ful mornin, wid rain drops fallin ....nd the campus luked awesum..
we had lunch n then again my frns said siesta time lol , nap in a rainy afternoon is actually one of the things tat lure u n u wud not like to miss but to me Majorda beaches sounded more promisin
So i persuaded two of my frns to accompany me , we left at some 3 :30 n then started waitin 4 bus 3:45 , 4 , 4:15, 4:30 gosh !!!!no bus arrived so finally we decided to go to vasco n have a sumptous dinner if not majorda beach but smthin said.... n i told lets wait for the last bus this side otherwise we'll take the bus to vasco n to our luck came the bus to Majorda..........yippie
The bus journey for a change was nice , firstly we got a seat a rare phenomenon
secondly the scenic beauty was amazin n we got to see some old stately Portuguese house though in ruins now ,which were pretty appealin to eyes
then after a long walk (or stroll would b the term )we finally reached MAJORDA heavenly !!!!!!!!!.
is one of the most beautiful white sand Goa beaches.The beach is fairly spread out and more secluded. A perfect beach where u can xperience austerity n serenity , i luvd the beach n was so not in the mood to come back but clock kept on tickin n it was 6:30 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we hurried to take the last bus n smhow managed to get it , were jus on tym......
Lord !!!!
so here ends weekend 1
now starts the anticipation for nex weekend n here it comes friday vohhhhhhhhh time flies past , it has been 5 days n it seems it has jus been a day ...
hmm now began serious discussions , plan out
plannin lol ........not my cup of tea
but u know what i have been given the honourary status of LEADER !!!!
surprized ......(C'mon i can plan out things n m not confusd always or am i ....chuck )yeps so the leader decides to sleep n give grey cells some rest n plan ot things in d mornin ...everythin fresh fresh .........
Mornin its pourin cats n dogs , some souls like me were delighted while sm others were pizzed off!! so no point plannin out , weather became bful n cute :P in the afternoon at some 3:30 n we decided to leave 4 old GOA as was decided earlier so everybody started gettin ready n finally we were at panjim at 5'O clock n the local ppl told its no point goin to Old goa as the churches r closed by 6
nex what ????????????????????????????????????
umm Dona paula what say...... not a bad idea ,so we decided to rock at rock beach dona paula :D, it was a pristine beach . Well that beach is all about havin fun wid frns i guess !!!! n takin some mindblowin pics too :D
yipee it was rainin n we were fortunate to spot a rainbow or it were 2 rainbows lol i can never forget the arguement session over it .....
we waited to watch the magnificent sunsets on the Arabian sea waters. A sumptuous sight to behold. The beach dotted with coconut trees and the shore rock provided a perfect backdrop for the sunset. It was intensely romantic and we found a lot of young couples hugging and enjoying the view. LOL
hmmm n yeah thr were a lot of cute kids on tat beach to turn u on :D (atleast i luvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv kids n thr very sight brings a smile on my face ,how innocent how carefree ...)Now time 4 dinner , we went to panjim n then as usual
thr was a flash of some stalls havin raincoats n few of us ( c'mon it was not only the gals who ran ,guys too accompanied ) ran to the stalls n then the normal bargainin stuff started n it was 8 :30 damn !!!!!!! guys rush ....
(we have the restriction of returnin b4 10 in our campus n it's an hour long ride frm panjim to our campus ) Now we entered Delhi durbaar the chain of restaraunt (my parents i donno y were insistent tat go n try food out thr its nice so i was in over excited state )A warm welcome n the manager was wearin an expression of surpize after hearin tat we r frm bits pilani n we were still in the process of orderin the food .......man this 10 'O clock seems to b pretty famous so we got our food packed n called 4 a cab , n at one instant the driver blowed off the lights n it was all darks n u know how guys r they started makin all sorta weird noises n all ....very funny n soon we were back to the campus :)
Now sunday mornin was fixed for OLD goa so we were all set but what in old goa or in vicinity after churches ......we called 4 a cab n the driver was like dont wrry i'll decide what nex once u r back frm churches ,he seemed pretty adamant so without wastin much of our tym we all got in ..........
Churches in Goa are the most prominent legacy of the Portuguese, so we first visited the world renowned Basilica of Bom Jesus and appreciated the decorative paintwork & woodcarving & inlaid floor at Convent & Church of St. Francis of Assisi. The Church of our Lady of the Rosary presented the beautiful amalgamation of the European and Indian styles. Now nex some1 told that thr r lovely temples around too so mission temples !!!!!!!
There are ancient temples in Goa like the Shiva temple of Shri Mangesh and the Mangueshi Temple..!! now the surprising part is i never knew this is where Lata Mangeshkar got her name from! they r originally from this place.. and Mangeshi is there god..!
and the Shri Mahalsa, a Vishnu temple had a splendid architecture .Yeah in the way to temples we came across some pineapple trees ( oh i luv pineapples )n we were lucky enuff coz jus then we came across a man selling pineapples n we all had 1 which served as the lunch 4 tat day ( too many of diet- conscious ppl in grp ...... u know !!!!)

I wud hv liked to see soo much more.. but for that i think u shud have ur own vehicle (best option) or rent a bike or car.. cos cabbies take u for a ride.. hehehe literally
Now it was jus 5 so we asked our driver to take us to Colba beach( man it was so difficult convincin tat weirdo for the beach ......... ) , this was a white sand beach n was very clean .Pretty romantic beach though was crowded n yeah nice place to get submerged in ur thoughts too .... this beach can make u feel tat u r so missin sm1 out :P Then after takin in all the beauty u can njoy nice coffee or mocktail alongwid a chocolate pastry :D in CCD .
Well the day was amongst one of the most bful days .......
n the weekend came to an end

i kinda love goa.. the people are warm and welcoming.. even though they must be tired of seeing different wierdos evry weekend.. ! LOL.. now i am jus waiting to go to have more fun on the comin weekends.. :-)
