Goa..
had mixed feelings bout it.. dunno why.. but goa is a beautiful place.. a place u can fall in love wid..
I was always told that GOA is a perfect place to holiday .........and so i had a pre-concieved notion about goa :D as a party place !!!!!!
The time came when i was to visit the paradise of beaches goa ,waaaooowww!!!!!!
Hold it if u r thinkin i planned out for a holiday , i am here in goa for my internship ;).....actually !!!
Umm! now no one told me goa is GREEN in the rains.. i jus imagined goa like any other beachy place.. lotsa sand and palm and coconut trees.. but there was sooo much greenery.. evry inch of the soil was covered with grass.. it was a beautiful site..
Now after landin here in beach paradise i have two stories of my life one restricted to the normal workin weekdays which r pretty interestin too but another story sounds more promisin the story of my weekends, rite now lets talk of the most awaited WEEKENDS lol ,probably u too r interested in this half rite ;)
....but one thing remains common the BUS JOURNEY
Thursday was the day to get started ....... after walkin some 3 odd kms, n the mornin we rushed to the office (GSL) in a mini bus.. (i think its there version of public transport..) but wat i found weird and hillarious was.. the conductors.. alighting from the bus.. n calling to ppl to come ride to the Vasco market or to the airport!! LOL.. evry few mins the bus used to stop and the conductors used to start callin the ppl walkin on the road!! and the inflow never seemed to stop n outflow was close to nil .......... aaah crowded n yeah thr is some military rule too (to stand facing one side )hehehehe..so finally u reach ur destination in a perfect state ur shirt crushed n wet jus like u can imagine urself after wrkin some 8-10 hrs ,neways lemme go ahead
intro session :
GOA gorgeous land of Sun, Sand and Sea- Goa. The destination offers you the best in the world. The most breathtakingly beautiful beaches, the confluence of the East and the West let the holiday be the best time of your life. The balmy beaches of India are perfect escapade for the fun loving holiday seekers :))).
The first destination for me was calingute beach n the first thought which crossedd was yeah some1 has truly said
-The beaches of Goa are like the curves of a woman's body - warm, inviting, sensous.
we went to Calungute Beach on saturday.(my first weekend :D). much much better than beaches i have been too .. and we were pretty excited to see that a few junkie shops were open.. ! hooray.. we ran into the sea.. cos thankfully it wasnt rainin.. (not allowed to swim or play in the sea during the rains) And yeah now comes the funk part for the adventorous souls the water sports !!!!!!! They were on yo yo yo
I have always wanted to go fa a water scooter ride n it was time for dreams to come true , umm excited ,exulted ,full of furore n yeah a bit of fear ( yeah i was a bit scared b4 goin in ) i finally went 4 the ride zip zap zoom .....wow it was an amazin ,incomparable or God -level experience, added to the golden moments of my life :)
This was not the end it was fun singin songs "paaniyon pe cheetein udati hui ladki n spashin water on each other lol !!!!
now came the time to bid gudbye to the beach but wait wait wait one thing was left writin the name of ur loved 1 on the beach sand n let the water sway it off ,i dont know but it sounded kind of crazy or .... to me ....neways we did tat too , all ceremonies :P over and we took a bus to panji
we were bac in panji.. did a lil survey of the market place.. and there was a lot of hustle bustle in the fish n chicken market n veggie market!! lol.. After a tirin journey we took another bus n were back to campus finally .......grabbed smthin to eat n hit the beds
11 :30 am sunday, gud mornin
Sunday .. was rest n relaxation day..............
It was a b'ful mornin, wid rain drops fallin ....nd the campus luked awesum..
we had lunch n then again my frns said siesta time lol , nap in a rainy afternoon is actually one of the things tat lure u n u wud not like to miss but to me Majorda beaches sounded more promisin
So i persuaded two of my frns to accompany me , we left at some 3 :30 n then started waitin 4 bus 3:45 , 4 , 4:15, 4:30 gosh !!!!no bus arrived so finally we decided to go to vasco n have a sumptous dinner if not majorda beach but smthin said.... n i told lets wait for the last bus this side otherwise we'll take the bus to vasco n to our luck came the bus to Majorda..........yippie
The bus journey for a change was nice , firstly we got a seat a rare phenomenon
secondly the scenic beauty was amazin n we got to see some old stately Portuguese house though in ruins now ,which were pretty appealin to eyes
then after a long walk (or stroll would b the term )we finally reached MAJORDA heavenly !!!!!!!!!.
is one of the most beautiful white sand Goa beaches. The beach is fairly spread out and more secluded. A perfect beach where u can xperience austerity n serenity , i luvd the beach n was so not in the mood to come back but clock kept on tickin n it was 6:30 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we hurried to take the last bus n smhow managed to get it , were jus on tym......
Lord !!!!
so here ends weekend 1
now starts the anticipation for nex weekend n here it comes friday vohhhhhhhhh time flies past , it has been 5 days n it seems it has jus been a day ...
hmm now began serious discussions , plan out
plannin lol ........not my cup of tea
but u know what i have been given the honourary status of LEADER !!!!
surprized ......(C'mon i can plan out things n m not confusd always or am i ....chuck )yeps so the leader decides to sleep n give grey cells some rest n plan ot things in d mornin ...everythin fresh fresh .........
Mornin its pourin cats n dogs , some souls like me were delighted while sm others were pizzed off!! so no point plannin out , weather became bful n cute :P in the afternoon at some 3:30 n we decided to leave 4 old GOA as was decided earlier so everybody started gettin ready n finally we were at panjim at 5'O clock n the local ppl told its no point goin to Old goa as the churches r closed by 6
nex what ????????????????????????????????????
umm Dona paula what say...... not a bad idea ,so we decided to rock at rock beach dona paula :D, it was a pristine beach . Well that beach is all about havin fun wid frns i guess !!!! n takin some mindblowin pics too :D
yipee it was rainin n we were fortunate to spot a rainbow or it were 2 rainbows lol i can never forget the arguement session over it .....
we waited to watch the magnificent sunsets on the Arabian sea waters. A sumptuous sight to behold. The beach dotted with coconut trees and the shore rock provided a perfect backdrop for the sunset. It was intensely romantic and we found a lot of young couples hugging and enjoying the view. LOL
hmmm n yeah thr were a lot of cute kids on tat beach to turn u on :D (atleast i luvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv kids n thr very sight brings a smile on my face ,how innocent how carefree ...)Now time 4 dinner , we went to panjim n then as usual
thr was a flash of some stalls havin raincoats n few of us ( c'mon it was not only the gals who ran ,guys too accompanied ) ran to the stalls n then the normal bargainin stuff started n it was 8 :30 damn !!!!!!! guys rush ....
(we have the restriction of returnin b4 10 in our campus n it's an hour long ride frm panjim to our campus ) Now we entered Delhi durbaar the chain of restaraunt (my parents i donno y were insistent tat go n try food out thr its nice so i was in over excited state )A warm welcome n the manager was wearin an expression of surpize after hearin tat we r frm bits pilani n we were still in the process of orderin the food .......man this 10 'O clock seems to b pretty famous so we got our food packed n called 4 a cab , n at one instant the driver blowed off the lights n it was all darks n u know how guys r they started makin all sorta weird noises n all ....very funny n soon we were back to the campus :)
Now sunday mornin was fixed for OLD goa so we were all set but what in old goa or in vicinity after churches ......we called 4 a cab n the driver was like dont wrry i'll decide what nex once u r back frm churches ,he seemed pretty adamant so without wastin much of our tym we all got in ..........
Churches in Goa are the most prominent legacy of the Portuguese, so we first visited the world renowned Basilica of Bom Jesus and appreciated the decorative paintwork & woodcarving & inlaid floor at Convent & Church of St. Francis of Assisi. The Church of our Lady of the Rosary presented the beautiful amalgamation of the European and Indian styles. Now nex some1 told that thr r lovely temples around too so mission temples !!!!!!!
There are ancient temples in Goa like the Shiva temple of Shri Mangesh and the Mangueshi Temple..!! now the surprising part is i never knew this is where Lata Mangeshkar got her name from! they r originally from this place.. and Mangeshi is there god..!
and the Shri Mahalsa, a Vishnu temple had a splendid architecture .Yeah in the way to temples we came across some pineapple trees ( oh i luv pineapples )n we were lucky enuff coz jus then we came across a man selling pineapples n we all had 1 which served as the lunch 4 tat day ( too many of diet- conscious ppl in grp ...... u know !!!!)
I wud hv liked to see soo much more.. but for that i think u shud have ur own vehicle (best option) or rent a bike or car.. cos cabbies take u for a ride.. hehehe literally
Now it was jus 5 so we asked our driver to take us to Colba beach( man it was so difficult convincin tat weirdo for the beach ......... ) , this was a white sand beach n was very clean .Pretty romantic beach though was crowded n yeah nice place to get submerged in ur thoughts too .... this beach can make u feel tat u r so missin sm1 out :P Then after takin in all the beauty u can njoy nice coffee or mocktail alongwid a chocolate pastry :D in CCD .
Well the day was amongst one of the most bful days .......
n the weekend came to an end
i kinda love goa.. the people are warm and welcoming.. even though they must be tired of seeing different wierdos evry weekend.. ! LOL.. now i am jus waiting to go to have more fun on the comin weekends.. :-)
luv ya

fwd back delete :D
Hello everyone!
"This whole ‘blog’ thing really trips me out sometimes!"I mean, I love the concept of being able to share thoughts, feelings, and experiences in this, but it is challenging for a few reasons.
One, I write everything by hand, so this whole computer world is a realm I find challenging to relate to and through.
On top of that, there is not a huge feedback loop. It’s like I am speaking into an abyss and praying that I am making some kind of sense that has some relevance to people’s lives. Conversations involve more than one person, so having a semi-conversation through a blog is a bit like being in a conversation where one person is really intent on being heard and seems to have forgotten that other people might have something they would like to share too.
I believe that everyone needs to be sharing with everyone in their lives, and I am sometimes concerned that we turn too often to computers and televisions for our communication. I think we need to turn OFF our televisions (including computer screens) and go out into our communities and tell-a-vision—share with each other, including people we don’t know, and follow our words up with actions.
Now, I am not saying that I want you to stop tuning into our website for information, inspiration, and connection. I am truly grateful to all of you who are a part of our circle, and I am really happy to know our website is serving you in some way in your life and in your service to the world we all share! I just know that all tools have the potential to separate us instead of connecting us.
I guess one of the great things about this blog for you is that if you don’t really like my latest ramblings, you can be free of them with one click of a button. And imagine if our whole world was like that. Imagine if any time we did not like a particular conversation, we could just push a button and “Whoosh!” it would disappear. What would our life be like then? Our relationships? Our work? Wow! How would we grow, learn, and transform if everything we did and said could either be disappeared or added to a “favorites” list to go back to over and over again just by the click of a button?
If you are still reading this, then you haven’t clicked “the button” yet.
So, let’s try something new together between now and the next blog entry. Let’s be really present and mindful to all the ways we have of “pushing the button” to delete people we come in contact with and conversations we have in out lives that we don’t like, agree with, or find interesting enough.
I can tell you already that one of the ways I have of pushing the button is I have a mind like a rabbit. It will run in a million different directions if I don’t stay very present with the person and interaction. Really, I push ALL KINDS of buttons when I am not being present—“back,” “forward,” “delete,” “search.” Geeeez! I’m getting worn out just thinking about it.
Here are some specific questions to think on and respond to, although of course, you are not limited to these. What are the ways you "push buttons" in conversations with people-- especially people you find challenging? What do you do when you are upset or uninterested with a person or conversation? Do you do
or say something outwardly in these moments or do you have a way-- like I do --that is internal? How does it make you feel when others say or do things to you
that are "deleting" or jumping over you ("forward arrow") or acting like you have not entered a conversation or experience at all ("back arrow")? In being present with yourself with this in conversation, what do you see about yourself, and what ways and ideas do you have for being mindful and present, even in challenging situations?
Those are just some ideas. I look forward to hearing what you all come up with.
Love,
neha :)

MEMORIES REMAIN ..........
I love the rain. It is truly the most beautiful and sublime act of nature (if we ignore its
capacity for destruction).
Some of my most vivid sensations are of the rain; I love
the smell that emanates from dry earth, when the first drops of rain fall on it…
the feel of wet grass after a sudden shower…
the sound of the rain, pitter-patter on the ground…
the sight of rain drops trickling from the roof and car windows…
cupping my hands to form a pool of rain, and wiping my face with the water…
turning my face towards the sky, and feeling the drops fall on my face…
the freshness in the atmosphere and the earth after the rains…
fresh silvery green color of trees, dewy drops on leaves and flowers, puddles on the
ground that go splash…
A lot many of my fond memories of life are also of the rains
I remember going to school on a Thursday many many years ago… it had been pouring
non-stop for many days and I was waiting for the school bus at a bus stop which was
about 5 minutes walking distance away from my home. The bus failed to turn up, and
someone then came and told me that there wasn’t any school that day (some election
crap ); so I started walking back home in my school uniform. It was pouring cats
and dogs, and there was water on the road a little above my ankles - I was so
exhilarated with the feel and sound of the rain, (and the thought that I didn’t have to go to school ;)) that I closed the umbrella, started singing my favorite songs and splashing around in the water, while walking back home - the people on the road must have thought that I was mad but I had not a care in the world
Another very beautiful memory of the rain was when I went to Bombay/Mumbai once,
during the monsoon season. I went to the Juhu beach, and as soon as I stepped into the water, it started raining like crazy… and soon, there we all were, being showered with cold water from the sky, whilst being waist-deep in the warm water of the sea, and having the tide throw us around in the water… heavenly :).
Again, today (my college days),I sensed that it would rain .It seems that he universe conspires to do things in your favour ....my cycle was punctured and I had an amazing opportunity to walk in the rain , was having fun holding on to an umbrella and walking in the middle of the road , freaking out as usual…but the best part was the BONUS….it was a Hail Storm and my first experience of it in my college …Magica!!!

“Oh well that’s me”
I have been wondering lately about this thing we call “personality”. A term which we so often use to describe ourselves and other people. Charming, cool, hard working, clever, generous, powerful, lazy, are among many of the words we employ to explain how we see ourselves and others. But the word personality is also often used as a screen behind which we hide or defend the way we are. I have so often heard people say “Oh well that’s me,” when you ask why they’re angry or unpunctual or generally when they behave like boors. “That’s me.” Nice way to fob off further inquiry or to resist change of any sort, especially when accompanied by a particular tone of voice which puts a stop to any sort of investigation.
In a way it seems that one’s personality is indeed built around the natural essence of an individual and that it is what lends colour to our lives together: the fact that we are so different from each other and in a sense irreplaceable, although the difference is more like the form, the pattern or colour which is capable of turning the same lump of clay into so many different objects. But then, as much as one’s personality reflects one’s inner essence it is also a reaction to the environment, an accumulation of learned characteristics, often an outcome of our defences and our struggle against all that disturbs us about life.
So you have people who appear mean or cruel, or seem to be always in a rage, or come across as arrogant. They are often that way because the circumstances of their lives probably persuaded them early on in life that the only way to cope, or to survive as the case may be, was to develop characteristics which would help them “protect themselves” their personal identity being a major part of the “self”.
The trouble is we don’t realise, that what we project to others or what we see in each other are really surface characteristics and we start to identify ourselves and others with the labels which sum up these traits. Cool, hep, quick, smart, rebellious, crazy, dreamy. When it comes ourselves we take pride in the labels we apply to ourselves. When it comes to others however, we are likely to damn them so that cool becomes cold, hep becomes superficial, quick can be seen as cunning and so on. In either case, we pick out aspects of our own and other people’s personalities which we isolate and use to describe the whole person.
To use the concept of personality to freeze our self image and that of the others is to turn ourselves and each other into cardboard figures and deny ourselves access to the natural richness which accompanies a fluid personality. An idea, in this way, limits us and renders us incapable of the magical transformations which define life itself. If you are one of those who no longer knows how to define him/herself, who finds it difficult to say with any degree of firmness that you are “this” or “that” kind of person, I imagine you’ve made a start and are on the way to climbing out of the cardboard cut-out in which you’ve lived so far and on the way to becoming a real human being.

defining "defining moments "
I am a strong believer in defining moments.now i dont know the significance of a defining moment or the deeper meaning behind it but i believe that defining moments happen.
To me a defining moment is one which you wont ever forget. Its something that will shape you as a person and will shape the way you lead your life. It may have a small affect (so much so that you dont recognise it) or it may have a powerful affect. A defining moment can occur when you meet someone for the very first time... When you say goodbye to someone.... when you figure something out.. when you see something special... when you feel something special... It could be anything.
Maybe at first you dont recognise your defining moments. Maybe one day you look back and you can see all the moments that you still remember (when you're 85 or something) and realise that they defined you.

a smile :)
Its been a while since i last updated my blog but its just because i have had no time to sit down and elaborate on any feelings or experiences and i dont want my blog to just be all anecdotes with "i did this, and i did that, then i saw this, and had that, etc etc".
I emailed a friend today that I haven't seen for years and years. Emailing her brought back so many memories of days gone past. Memories of how stupid I was, memories of simple times.... times before I had the burden of experience and hindsight.
I think experience can be a burden. It can inhibit us and can stifle our personalities for fear of the same mistakes recreating themselves. We are so so keen to learn lessons and learn from mistakes that when we fall off our bike we don't dust ourselves down and get back on.... we dust ourselves down and decide that the lesson was "not to ride the bike". Is this right? Or is this wrong?
I forgot how similar we were. We were close for a reason. We didn't know each other for long but we were close for the time that we did know each other and now I can remember why. Our mind works in the same way as mine having similar fears and similar worries. Is this more important then having similar interests and similar love of things?
isn't it sad to think that there is always a price to pay for happiness.....?
Today I have had a big big big smile on my face all day. I don't know why! At one point I was neutral, not happy, not sad. And suddenly I could feel myself instantly becoming happy. Something I could feel running through my blood (endorphines??). How weird. Some say I smile a lot... Apparently I have a big big smile.
isn't smiling the most amazing feeling in the world?

analogy b/w repwri n es lolzzzz

hehe i jus finished writin my "es-1"(electrical-sciences) exam nd have to go about writing another one" rep wri " (report writing ), and i thot of redesigning one of the chapters of rep wri (lolzzz es-1 seems to have a real lastin impact on me)
In this chapter we discuss the characteristic of a few electrical components and compare it with the human ego. In this chapter we discuss as to how each component behaves when placed directly across a voltage source. In real-life this voltage source can be any person who has immense knowledge in a certain area. So basically we here discuss how various human beings with varied levels of ego react to a knowledgeable person.
(i) Capacitors & Inductors: In theory, Inductors and Capacitors do not have ego. Which in other words mean, they do not resist to the flow of I (information). The process of accepting I stops only when they have knowledge (or V) comparable to the source. Such characteristics, helps them in building great amount of energy inside them. Though both can store a lot of energy in their life time, they can never aid the society by converting it into any other useful form. What use is electrical energy, when you cannot use it to help the society? There is a use. When a fully charged capacitor is connected across a load, it discharges the energy it has onto that load. This, in other words means that it starts imparting the knowledge it gained back to the society! This remains the only advantage of such components.Example: Most professors who keep educating a lot of students in their life, but do not use this knowledge in their research, fall into this category.
(ii) Diode: Interesting component. A diode could be a highly egoistic or least egoistic component depending on its bias. In theory, while being forward biased it offers no resistance, hence accepts all the information. But, when reverse biased, it blocks the flow of I completely, unless the voltage of the knowledge source is too high to break its ego! Such egoistic diodes are of no or very less use to the society. Even while being forward biased, since they have no resistance, they act like a connecting wire which cannot store any energy in it. In real life they are useless, unless you want to block all the information coming towards you!Example: People who think they know everything or at least think it is bad to accept that they do not know or understand things around them fit into this category
(iii) Resistor: Resistors are one of the most widely used components in any electrical circuit. They have just enough ego to block all the unwanted information and allow the wanted ones alone. Though a resistor cannot store energy like a capacitor or an inductor, it can always use the I(information). Any application where energy conversion is required a resistor is used. The light bulb we use or the water heaters that we use are all using resistors ability to convert the information into useful energy.Example: People who has good listening ears and also a sound mind which can think and use the information that they have gained fit into this category.
So what are you? A diode, a Resistor or a Capacitor?

Blah! Blah! Blah!
"Imagine looking into a mirror and seeing two different reflections. It could be simple, in one reflection your hair is short and the other it's longer. Or in one, you've got a floral print top on, and in another, solid blue. You must be dreaming, right? This kind of thing doesn't happen in waking life. But it is happening, and it's impossible to get a sense of who you are. What do you do? How do you know which image in the mirror is really you? Perhaps step away and see how you feel. Sense inside yourself, and see if there are two realities there too

neways when your creative flow feels like its kinda stopped and all you want to do is write, but you have nothing to say- what do u do? What's ur next step? Stop drinking? Start drinking? Listen to the silence and not the music? Watch your frns, their simple actions generating so much joy?!
I have been banging my head against a wall since i pretty much hopped on the blogger lolzzzz and i have no idea what's wrong w/ me...I am also sick of reading ppl's blog who talk about what they did for the day and how they feel for the day.. It's so BORING.. *yawns*That makes me more sick, i need spices and chillis to wake me up, think that will be a better choice..For goddness sake, although my blog is not so good, but ppl who write abt these boring stuffs pls buy a pen and a diary book instead k.. :P
